One of the things that many find comforting about having a loved one cremated is the fact that unlike with a burial there is something left of your dearly departed – the cremated remains, or ashes as we usually call them, are returned to you.
Bewley Funerals has a range of different containers (what we’d traditionally call an urn) available to choose from to have the ashes stored in after the cremation. We’ll make sure the precious remains are put into the chosen container and returned to the family, who can then decide what to do with it.
Traditionally ashes are usually scattered in a location meaningful to the deceased, or else buried in a designated area in a cemetery or crematorium, marked with a memorial plaque. Nowadays, however, there are dozens of novel options for storing and keeping cremated remains, including having them turned into glass objects, sealed into a piece of jewellery, incorporated into a garden sculpture, mixed with paint to create a work of art, or contained in resin, to name but a few.
Many like the idea of keeping the ashes in the home in a display casket or decorative urn, or perhaps you would prefer to have them returned to you in a bio-degradable container that can be buried discreetly in the garden or some other location.
Whatever you decide to do with the remains of someone close to your heart, Bewley Funerals can assist. Have a look through our available selection of ashes urns and containers for inspiration and to help you make this all-important decision.
