When you book a funeral with D.J. Bewley you automatically qualify for the use of our private funeral rooms at no extra cost.
Choosing this option, quite often reduces the need to go to the crematorium.
We have funeral rooms available in our Melksham and Devizes branch premises, which are equipped with sound systems and have the capacity to accommodate up to 35 people.
If required we can instruct a Minister of Religion or a civil celebrant to lead a funeral service or gathering in the rooms. There is then an option to either say goodbye to the coffin at the end of the service or moving on to a burial site or crematorium afterwards.
Our funeral rooms also offer a sanctuary where family and friends can gather privately to commemorate a loved one, sharing their emotions and sentiments in a relaxed, homely atmosphere.
Our Funeral Rooms are simply and tastefully decorated and furnished with comfortable chairs, appropriate for religious or non-religious gatherings.
The largest of our funeral rooms are at our Melksham branch, situated at 15 Bank Street (SN12 5LE), the Church Street carpark being just a short walk away.
Our funeral rooms at 64 New Park Street Devizes (SN10 1DP) are of a more intimate size, but these rooms are equipped with a projector and screen, allowing for the showing of video or still images of your loved one. The Devizes rooms are close to the Central Car Park in Maryport Street.
We can arrange for funeral flowers to be displayed in the funeral rooms and you can make use of our funeral stationery service to order orders of service if you wish. There are facilities in all our rooms for playing recorded music.
