More and more people are requesting a fuss-free and low-cost alternative to a traditional funeral which is respectful and dignified. To cater for this demand D.J. Bewley offers a service known as Direct Cremation.
Direct Cremation includes the provision of a simple coffin, the collection and care of the deceased at our funeral home, transport to the crematorium and the cremation itself. There is no funeral service and no-one present at the cremation.
This leaves relatives free to arrange their own wake, memorial event or “celebration of life” for their departed loved one how, when and where they wish.
The cost of a Direct Cremation is far less than a full service cremation.
We can also offer an optional small service in one of our funeral rooms to have a small gathering to say a final farewell before we transport of the deceased to the crematorium.
